Great as a reference guide for the volunteer board of a non-profit, recommend it for executive directors and executive board members.

A practical, "go-to" reference

As the business manager for a non-profit, I have been looking for a reference that would answer questions as they arise in the course of my work. This volume has done a great job for me so far. I am especially pleased with the index which gets you where you need to go as well as the content which is up-to-date and very clear. By comparison, I rate this book way ahead of the Wiley Financial and Accounting Guide for Not-for-Profit Organizations (8th ed) which is way more expensive but also way less user-friendly, far less succinct, not usefully indexed, and (for my purposes at least) often ambiguous just when I have felt I needed clear guidance. In my judgment, this is a sound, useful guide for people needing a practical reference on NFP accounting.

This book gives me the information I need to update myself on new GAAP requirements for when I conduct my church audit. A lot of things have changed since I first went into accounting.
